15 of the Rarest and Most Beautiful Birds on Earth That Don't Look Real

Some birds look like they were designed by an artist who stopped following the rules. A duck dressed like a painted jewel. A pheasant wearing a golden cape. A roller carrying eight colours at once across the African sky. And one bird in the cloud forests of Central America trailing a metre of emerald ribbon behind it. In this countdown we rank fifteen of the rarest and most beautiful birds on Earth, from the painted bunting to the resplendent quetzal, and finish with the one that honestly does not look real.
