Hello everyone, welcome back to Shivani’s LCHF Kitchen! ❤️
If you love dark chocolate but want something simple, homemade, and completely under your control, then today’s recipe is definitely for you!
We’re making Homemade Dark Chocolate with just a few simple ingredients.
No complicated process, no fancy equipment—just cocoa butter, unsweetened cocoa powder, your choice of sweetener, and a little vanilla.
And the best part? You can adjust the sweetness exactly the way you like it.
So, let’s make some delicious homemade chocolate!
[INGREDIENTS]
For this recipe, I’m using:
One-third cup of cocoa butter- 75 g
Half a cup of unsweetened cocoa powder-110g
Around 70 grams of sweetener, or you can adjust it according to your taste,
And one teaspoon of vanilla extract.
That’s it!
Just four simple ingredients.
Now let’s get started.
[MAKING THE CHOCOLATE]
First, I’m heating a pan on low flame.
Once the pan is warm, I’m adding my cocoa butter.
We want to melt the cocoa butter gently, so make sure you keep the flame low.
Just keep stirring occasionally until the cocoa butter is completely melted.
And look at that—it’s beautifully melted and smooth.
Now I’m taking the pan off the gas.
This is important because we don’t want to cook the cocoa powder. We just want to combine everything smoothly.
Now I’m adding the unsweetened cocoa powder.
Give it a good mix until the cocoa powder is completely incorporated and there are no lumps.
You’ll see the mixture becoming darker, glossy, and beautifully chocolatey.
And honestly, this already smells amazing!
Next, I’m adding one teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Mix it well.
And now comes the sweetener.
I’m using around 70 grams, but this is completely according to your taste.
If you like your dark chocolate less sweet, you can reduce it.
If you prefer it sweeter, you can adjust it accordingly.
Mix everything really well until you get a smooth chocolate mixture.
And that’s it—our homemade chocolate mixture is ready!
[MOULDING]
Now I’m simply pouring the chocolate into my chocolate moulds.
You can use any mould you like.
Once all the moulds are filled, I’m going to place them in the refrigerator.
You can keep them in the fridge for a few hours, or simply leave them overnight for the best set.
[FINAL REVEAL]
And now comes my favourite part!
The chocolate has set beautifully, so let’s demould it.
Just look at these!
Beautiful homemade dark chocolates, ready to enjoy. 🍫
And the texture is so satisfying!
I absolutely love how easy this recipe is.
And when you make chocolate at home, you know exactly what’s going into it—and you can control the sweetness according to your preference.
So if you’re following an LCHF or keto lifestyle, this can be a lovely homemade option, provided the sweetener and ingredients you use fit your individual plan.
