ZZA Snowplough test with 67023 + 66849, Midland Pullman, NMT, China Clay and the Britannic Explorer!

Following yesterdays trip to the Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala    • Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala | ...   today saw step change to a modern traction Friday, with some interesting moves in the Taunton area, most notably a snowplough test for Taunton based ZZA snowploughs ZZA ABD965217 + ZZA ABD965240. Colas Rail sent some interesting traction to power the move in the form of 67023 ‘Stella’ from Swindon Transfer Yard, and 66749 ‘Wylam Dilly’ which the 67 picked up at Westbury, before the pair Came to Fairwater yard to collect the snow plough 965240 before collecting the other one near the station and doing a test run to Westbury and back. Also seen were the short set Midland Pullman with 43050 ‘Loch Morar’ and 43059 ‘Loch Shiel’ heading down to Penzance from Lancaster, the monthly NMT with 43014 and 43062 ‘John Armitt’, 66766 ‘Gail Richardson’ on the China Clays and lastly this evening the inbound Britannic Explorer with 66706 ‘Nene Valley’ + 66744 ‘Heart of Wessex’ bringing to an end a varied Friday of action in the region. | 18.09.2026 I hope you enjoy this video and thank you for watching!
