How to Draw Beautiful Sunset in the Beach | Easy Sunset Scenery Drawing with Oil Pastels Step by Step. 00:00 Intro By watching this easy scenery drawing, we can learn about how to draw easy nature scenery with oil patels, how to draw beautiful sunset scenery, how to draw easy mountain and beach scenery, and also learn about oil pastels gradation technique. Materials : 1). A5 sketch or drawing paper 2). Snowman twinpen 3). Greebel Oil Pastels. 00:20 [Step 1: Sketching] "First, lightly sketch your scene. Draw the horizon line where the sky meets the sea, then the sun sitting low and round near the edge of the water. Add the soft curve of the shoreline, and simple shapes for distant palm trees or gentle hills along the beach. Once you’re happy with the layout, trace over your pencil lines with your twin-tip pen to make them clear and sharp." 02:40 [Scene & Colour Description] "We start with a soft, glowing sky: right around the setting sun, we use bright golden yellow and vivid orange, blending gently outward into soft peach, warm pink, and rich coral. Higher up, the colours fade into pale lavender and deep twilight blue, creating that smooth, dreamy sunset gradient. Below, the calm ocean mirrors the sky: shimmering yellow and tangerine stretch across the water directly under the sun, blending into turquoise, teal, and deep navy blue toward the edges. We add soft horizontal strokes to show gentle ripples catching the light. Along the shore, warm sand tones — creamy beige, light tan, and soft brown — meet the water. In the distance, we add dark silhouettes of palm trees and low hills in deep green and near-black, standing out beautifully against the bright sky. The whole scene is balanced with rich, warm tones that feel peaceful, bright, and full of that magical sunset glow." 06:20 [Step-by-Step & Technique Notes] "Step one: Sketch Lightly draw the horizon line, the sun resting low over the water, the curve of the beach, and the shapes of trees or distant land. Once you’re happy with your layout, trace over your pencil lines with your twin-tip pen. Step two: Colour & blend Pick colours that match what you see here — a set of 48 or 72 pastels works best for smooth gradients. Remember: don’t press too hard! Use light, even pressure, and colour in one direction to keep your work neat and colours vibrant. Blend gently so there are no harsh lines. Step three: Finishing touches Add extra bright yellow highlights around the sun and on the water’s reflection to make it shine. Use a deep black coloured pencil to sharpen outlines, define silhouettes, and give your drawing that polished, professional look."
