I had promised a couple people that I would do some work for them. The pandemic has really jammed most of the shops and waiting lists are a month long. My buddy Tyler had asked me quite some time ago to do a few jobs to his R32 Skyline GTR.
He's been hearing some intermittent clicking that seems directly related to the driveline. He found that the outer boot on the left CV axle(half shaft) was torn open and much of the grease had been lost. He found a good rebuilt unit online. Installing the front shaft is very similar to most FWD driveshafts. The left side there are 6 bolts that hold the inner joint to the stub shaft flange. The right side has the stub and would pop out like most other FWD CV shafts. Hopefully the replacement takes care of the clicking sound he's been hearing.
Thanks for watching! Yes I know it's slowly becoming Homebrew Nissan, but rest assured that this still dedicated to Subaru's! I've got more GTR and S13 content coming and the Subie stuff has to wait a while. STAY TUNED!
