Ebenalp Switzerland | Schafler Ridge Hike | Appenzell | Alpstein

I’m venturing out to Schafler Ridge Hike in Ebebalp after checking in at the famous Asecher cliff hotel in Ebenalp, near Appenzell, Switzerland. It starts at the top of the Ebenalp cable car station via Ebenalp Guesthouse and hikes up to the Schafler Guesthouse with a steady climb. From Schäfler, the breathtaking view of Alpstein peaks, thrilling cabled sections with steep drop-off begins. The trail was nerve-racking, but the view along the trail is unreal. Once the trail passes the sketchy part, green meadows with cows, and the turquoise lake Seealpsee appear down below.
