First Date Ruined? [David & Erica] July 12, 1999 All My Children

Just as Erica and David prepare to go upstairs to his suite, Palmer and Vanessa interrupt them and insist on joining them. David and Vanessa snipe at each other. David and Erica dance, and the romantic tension between them is strong. When David replies to a page, Palmer takes Erica home. Erica warns Palmer about Vanessa, who in turns warns Erica about David. David returns to him room and is irritated when Leslie shows up and throws herself at him. He rejects her and dreams about spending the night with Erica instead. The next day, David and Erica both fondly think back on their time together, and he arranges another delivery of rare orchids for her.
