Ugandan diaspora organization honors former VOA journalist Shaka Ssali

Shaka Ssali, the former host of VOA’s flagship weekly program Straight Talk Africa, was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to media in Africa. The Ugandan North American Association, or UNAA, honored the veteran journalist during their annual convention.
