Path of Honor recognizes organ donors in St. Louis region

The Path of Honor is a special event developed by Mid-America Transplant Services (MTS) when the family makes a very generous decision to donate their loved one's organs and tissues before they pass on through this life. Sometimes called an Honor Walk, this is an opportunity for SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital physicians and staff, the patients’ family and friends to gather and honor the life and legacy their gift is making by lining the hallways from the patient’s room to the operating room or to emergency department. The Path of Honor is an inspiring, meaningful moment recognizing a hero who chooses to be an organ donor and unselfishly save the lives of others.
