I'm Mike — 72, retired and living on Social Security in the Philippines. In Cebu City, Philippines, I sat down at Mike's Coffee Shop with Weng — the Filipina YouTuber behind the channel It's Weng. It's Weng's Exposed — Cebu City, Philippines. On Mike's Coffee Shop, I sit down with Weng — the Filipina YouTuber behind the channel It's Weng. She is not retired. She is a mom of four boys in Cebu, going through an annulment, and trying to make a living on YouTube. Her real name is Rowena. She is 41. She grew up in Aloguinsan in the south of Cebu, and she lives in the north of Cebu City now. She did two OFW contracts in Kuwait — almost no days off, and she had to leave Francis when he was only six months old. When she came home, the money was gone. She sold barbecue. She made pancakes. She worked 12-hour shifts as a nursing attendant for 18,000 pesos a month. Then she started over on YouTube. Today she has about 25,000 subscribers, and a lot of people already know her name.
