⚡ Canada just approved a $33 BILLION bet that changes where its energy goes, and the reason should make Washington pay attention.
For generations, Canadian natural gas had one road out: south, into the American market. On September 29th, Shell and four Asian partners approved LNG Canada Phase 2 in Kitimat, doubling output to 28 million tonnes a year, with the gas bound for Asia. Four of the five owners are Asian companies. The customers now co-own the terminal.
