Have you ever wondered what you would do if someone suddenly collapsed in front of you? I recently took a First Aid & CPR course in Canada, and honestly, it made me realize how important it is for ordinary people—not just healthcare workers—to know what to do in an emergency. In this video, I’m sharing my experience taking the course, what I learned, and why I believe First Aid & CPR is a skill worth having. 🚨 HERE ARE SOME FACTS THAT REALLY STAND OUT: ❤️ An estimated 60,000 cardiac arrests happen outside hospitals in Canada every year—approximately one every 9 minutes. ❤️ Only about 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in most Canadian communities. ❤️ CPR and using an AED can double a person's chance of survival during cardiac arrest. ❤️ Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone, often without warning. ❤️ Every minute without CPR or defibrillation can significantly reduce the chance of survival—making those first few minutes extremely important. And here's something else that really surprised me: the Canadian Red Cross reports that 7 out of 10 cardiac arrests happen in front of bystanders, meaning an ordinary person may be the one who has the opportunity to help before emergency responders arrive. That's why learning CPR, First Aid and how to use an AED isn't just about getting a certificate. It's about being prepared when it matters. In this video, I talk about: ✅ My First Aid & CPR course experience ✅ What the training was like ✅ Why CPR knowledge is important ✅ Why learning how to use an AED matters ✅ Who should consider taking a First Aid & CPR course ✅ Why this is a valuable life skill for families, parents, newcomers, workers and everyday people You never know when someone around you might need help. Would you know what to do? Watch the video and let me know in the comments: Have you ever taken a First Aid & CPR course? Would you consider taking one? 📌 Important: This video is based on my personal experience and is for general information.
