Lanterns Episode 8 Reaction | This Finale Made Me a Red Lantern

Somebody get me a red ring, because this finale activated my rage. 😭 John Stewart called himself an independent contractor, changed the Green Lantern oath, and flew away—and that was supposed to be enough?! In my Lanterns Episode 8 reaction, I’m breaking down the new oath, Hal Jordan’s fate, Sinestro’s offer, Sheriff Kerry’s reveal, and why Guy Gardner didn’t feel like Guy to me. Plus, I called Noah being a Manhunter—but did we just watch a future villain’s origin story? That’s my theory, and Kerry giving in to her own fear isn’t helping his case. Great acting and strong monologues, but I wanted more of John’s imagination, more constructs, and a stronger Green Lantern payoff. Did this finale deliver for you? And how did you feel about the new oath? Let’s talk in the comments. 👇🏾 Subscribe to The Melanated Report for more Green Lantern discussions, DC reactions, and weekly comics on The Pullpit.
