Unfortunately, it was raining, but the thousand weeping cherry trees floating in the mist were even more fantastical than on a sunny day, possessing a quiet beauty befitting Yoshino, the "mountain of prayer." Knowing the story of how this place, once a forestry mountain, was transformed into a cherry blossom garden through the family's wishes, made me appreciate this scenery even more. This post also touches on a herbal cuisine lunch in Uda. There's also a slightly funny and heartwarming episode about how I, a shy person, was saved by the "shield" of my camera.
