Really neat album The Little Girl Says (小女孩说), from Chinese Shoegaze band The Pillowman (枕头人). In true Sinogaze fashion this was their only release within a short two years together. I slightly adjusted the transitions between some tracks to make for a smoother album listening experience. But one brave little girl refuses the Pillowman's good intentions. Inspired by this episode from the play The Pillowman, the three members of the band recorded moments of the little girl's formative years in a mixture of sharp and gritty noises mixed with naïve vocals, assembled into this diary written on pentameter. Out of a fascination with storytelling, the Pillowmen committed suicide by disbanding on April 1, 2017, officially releasing their EP on Children's Day of the same year, when it was finally time for the story to say goodbye."
