Don’t miss the beautiful German Church nearby. Stora Nygatan (Great New Street): One of the main streets in Gamla Stan, it was constructed after a great fire in the 1600s and became a hub of trade and activity. Västerlånggatan (The Western Long Street): A lively street lined with shops and cafes, it follows the path of the old city wall that once protected Stockholm. Stallbron (The Stable Bridge): This historic bridge connects Gamla Stan to the Parliament buildings and got its name from the royal stables that once stood here. Riksgatan (Parliament Street): A political hub, this street runs between the Parliament House and features views of the Royal Palace. Riksbron (The State Bridge): One of Stockholm’s oldest bridges, linking the mainland to the island of Helgeandsholmen, where the Parliament stands today. Drottninggatan (Queen Street): A bustling shopping street, named after Queen Christina in the 17th century, it's a popular place to experience modern Stockholm. Gamla Brogatan (Old Bridge Street): A quieter street in the heart of Stockholm, it offers a mix of old-world charm and modern architecture.
