The Overlook Hotel’s Supernatural Anatomy Explained (Stephen King) - Is the Hotel Itself Alive?

Stephen King’s horror novel blended with Stanley Kubrick’s genius filmmaking is a match made in heaven, and I don’t think there are many horror fans out there who haven’t checked out The Shining. However, the true horror enthusiasts have read the original novel as well, and they will know that while the movie is a work of art without a doubt, the book lore is far greater when it comes to The Overlook Hotel. I mean, here we have a designated place for evil that is luxurious and perfectly nestled in a beautiful region, and yet, the horrors that the hotel has revealed are disturbing to the core. But then again, this is probably what Stephen King does so well with places and things, where he creates these real locations for the horror to unfold, and The Overlook Hotel is just as important as Derry, Maine, if I consider all his works. #TheOverlookHotel #OverlookHotel #TheShining #doctorsleep
