E012. Mother of Beauty | The Secrete History "Soundtrack" | MAJOR SPOILER!

⚠️ MAJOR SPOILER: This song covers the last part of the novel. Best heard after you've finished the book. Death Is the Mother of Beauty | He is at the Graveside. Inspired by the theme and character in Donna Tartt's novel 'The Secrete History'. He knows the dead languages better than the living ones. At his friend's funeral he recites from memory, and no one in the church understands a word. This song imagines what he could not say: Homer's leaves, Wallace Stevens' "death is the mother of beauty", and the arithmetic of a crime that worked perfectly and destroyed everything.
