Australia struggled with Indonesia’s varied offense and could not consistently stop the attacks coming from the wings. Indonesia maintained control throughout the set and won it comfortably, 25–17, moving one set away from the quarterfinals. Australia showed its strongest resistance in the third set and remained competitive for longer. However, Indonesia stayed composed during the decisive stages. Their defensive organization, transition play and ability to finish the important rallies allowed them to pull away and complete the sweep, 25–21. Arsela Nuari Purnama and Aulia Suci Nurfadila, also known as Aulia Devega, were Indonesia’s leading scorers with 14 points each. Their balanced contribution was especially important because Indonesia competed in this championship without its biggest international star, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi. The victory gave Indonesia a final Pool B record of two wins and one defeat. Indonesia had previously beaten Kazakhstan 3–0 before losing to defending champion Thailand in straight sets. By defeating Australia, Indonesia finished second in Pool B behind Thailand and secured direct qualification for the quarterfinals. For Australia, the result completed a difficult preliminary campaign. The Volleyroos finished at the bottom of Pool B after being unable to win a match or a set during the group phase.
