In Part 2 of the OS Dev From Scratch series, we write the first real code of our operating system: assembly boot code, a kernel in C, a linker script, and a GRUB config. Then we build a bootable ISO and boot it.
Missed Part 1? Watch it here: [Part 1 link]
IN THIS VIDEO
How GRUB loads our kernel
Writing the boot code in assembly (boot.asm)
Writing the kernel in C (kernel.c)
The linker script: telling the linker where everything goes (linker.ld)
Configuring GRUB (grub.cfg)
Building kernel.elf and the bootable faceless.iso
