In “The Power to Change,” Pastor Swett preaches from Colossians 3:9–10 about the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us to put off the old man and put on the new man. We are not called to remain the people we were before Jesus found us. Through Christ, lives can be transformed, hearts can be renewed, and people who appear hopeless can be made new. This message confronts one of the enemy’s most damaging lies: “They’ll never change.” Pastor Swett declares that change is still possible for ANYONE, ANYWHERE, at ANY TIME. It doesn’t matter how stubborn someone has become. It doesn’t matter how long they have struggled. It doesn’t matter how many times they have fallen. It doesn’t matter if everyone else has given up on them. Jesus Christ still has the power to change a life. Pastor Swett challenges the church to stop looking at people as if they have no value. He shares how walking past a penny caused him to consider how easily we can do the same thing to people—seeing their condition instead of seeing the value of their soul. Where others may see a worthless penny, God sees a diamond in the rough. The message also looks at Jesus leaving the ninety-nine to pursue the one lost sheep and the woman who searched her house until she recovered the lost piece of silver. When something is valuable, you don't simply accept that it is lost—you go looking for it. The church must continue praying, believing, reaching, and trusting God for those who have wandered away. Don't allow yesterday's pain to destroy tomorrow's hope. Don't give up on the person who has fallen. Don't give up on the addict. Don't give up on the backslider. Don't give up on your son or daughter. And don't give up on yourself. As long as there is breath, there is still hope. Pastor Swett shares his own testimony of how Jesus instantly changed his life and broke the power of drugs, alcohol, and the lust of the flesh. If Jesus changed him, He can change someone else. There is still power in the name of Jesus Christ. CHANGE IS POSSIBLE. Main Scripture: Colossians 3:9–10 “And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.” If this message encourages you, share it with someone who needs to be reminded that nobody is beyond the transforming power of Jesus Christ. #ThePowerToChange #PastorSwett #Colossians3 #JesusChangesLives #ChristianSermon #Transformation #Faith #Deliverance #Preaching #JesusChrist Pastor Chris Swett Pickens Church of God Schedule: Sunday Service Times 10am - Sunday School 11am - Morning Service 6pm - Evening Service Wednesday Night Service 7pm Live Service Times Sunday Morning - 11am Sunday Evening - 6pm Wednesday Night - 7pm If you have any prayer request please leave them in the comments section so we can add them to our prayer line.
