Jesus Washed My Sins Away (Alternative Version) | 1950s Gospel Christian Song

Inspired by 1 John 1:7, Isaiah 1:18 & Psalm 51:2 "...the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." — 1 John 1:7 "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..." — Isaiah 1:18 "Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin." — Psalm 51:2 "Jesus Washed My Sins Away (Alternative Version)" is an alternative musical setting of my original Christian gospel song celebrating the forgiveness, cleansing, and new life we receive through Jesus Christ. The lyrics are the same as the Original Version, but this version features a different melody while retaining the joyful spirit of 1950s gospel music. The song tells a personal testimony of coming to Jesus with a burdened heart, leaving the old chains behind, and discovering the freedom found in His mercy and grace. Our sins may be many and our past may be broken, but God's mercy reaches us where we are. Through Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven, cleansed, restored, and made new. Inspired by 1 John 1:7, Isaiah 1:18, and Psalm 51:2, this song brings together three beautiful biblical pictures of God's cleansing: the blood of Jesus purifying us from sin, scarlet sins becoming white as snow, and the heartfelt prayer for God to wash away our iniquity. My prayer is that this song will remind you that Jesus still saves, Jesus still forgives, and His mercy can make us new. 🎵 Listen to the Original Version on YouTube: ➡️ [Insert Original Version YouTube link here] If this song has blessed you, I would be grateful if you would like, share, and subscribe for more original Scripture-inspired Christian songs. Lyrics [Verse 1] I came in the cold rain With mud on my hands A heavy heart, a broken plan I stood by the river Too tired to hide And Jesus met me on the other side [Pre-Chorus] He looked at my sorrow He knew my name He said, "Come nearer, child" "Don't carry that shame" [Chorus] Jesus washed my sins away (Washed my sins away) Jesus washed my sins away (Washed my sins away) Now my heart can sing and stay In His mercy every day [Verse 2] I left my old burden Down at the door The chains I was dragging I don't need no more He touched the dark places Deep in my soul And made the ragged, ruined parts whole [Pre-Chorus] He took all my failing All of my ache He gave me a new song For His holy sake [Chorus] Jesus washed my sins away (Washed my sins away) Jesus washed my sins away (Washed my sins away) Now my heart can sing and stay In His mercy every day [Bridge] Oh, the water was living Oh, the grace was free He reached down and found me Right where I'd be What He started in mercy He will complete Till I'm standing forgiven At His feet [Chorus] Jesus washed my sins away (Washed my sins away) Jesus washed my sins away (Washed my sins away) Now my heart can sing and stay In His mercy every day [Outro] Glory, glory, hallelujah My soul is free Jesus washed my sins away And He still keeps me I created this song with AI for my worship and make it available to those who could be blessed by the words and music. 🎵 Follow my music on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4WzoF... 🎵 Follow my music on YouTube Music:    / timothy's christian songs - topic   Original Christian songs created and produced to encourage faith, hope, and devotion to Jesus Christ.
