Back When The Town Was Young | Western Horizon Station | Classic Country Storytelling

Cimarron, New Mexico. 1889. Before the church had a steeple. Before the road had a name. A man and a woman rolled into town on a wagon. Built four walls and half a roof before the October freeze. Slept beneath the open sky the week before it closed in. Counting every star above the cottonwood and cedar trees. They were cold and they were hungry. And they never once complained. This is Back When The Town Was Young. A song about two people who built something out of nothing but their hands. And forty years later still sitting on the same porch. Watching the same sun go down. Western Horizon Station — where old country music lives.
