Scanning stuff in this game is made the gameplay unique. When you scan stuff in these games not all of it is recorded in the logbook but the ones that are make a nice sound effect in Metroid Prime 1 and say "recording to logbook" in Metroid Prime 2. So I went through both games and found all the rooms with the most scans. There are numerous rooms with about 4,5,6,7 scans but all of the rooms that are shown here have at least 10 logbook scans or more. Also note that you can't get every single scan in one setting; you have to come back to the same rooms later in the game because the room layers change as you progress in the game. The rooms with total number of scans are as follows: GFMC Compound - 12 scans total Command Center - 10 scans total Sky Temple Gateway - 12 scans total (The rooms above are all part of Metroid Prime 2 and do not include the powerup drops that are in the game) Research Lab Hydra - 12 scans total Research Lab Aether - 13 scans total Observatory - 12 scans total Elite Control - 16 scans total (room with most scans) (All of the rooms above are all part of Metroid Prime 1 and do include the powerup drops that are part of the game. There are 5 powerup scans that are included in this game so technically at any time these rooms always have 5 scans in them.) The shadow pirates are in all the rooms with the most scans except for observatory which has normal space pirates. The second room layer for elite control is shadow pirates. The auto defense turret is in the research lab hydra and research lab aether's second layer (when you come back through the room with the thermal visor) For the first Metroid Prime game it does record the power up things into the logbook. These include: Small Energy Unit, Large Energy Unit, Ultra Energy Unit, Missile launcher recharge drop, and Powerbomb Drop. These are 5 scans which can be included in basically every room for the first Metroid prime game. The short clips where I scan an auto defense turret and shadow pirate as well as the power up drops (some of them anyway) are there to show you the additional scans that are in the rooms for Metroid Prime 1 For some reason the powerups aren't part of the logbook scans in Metroid Prime 2 so all scans are creatures, lore, or research stuff. Of course this is just a small fraction of the total number of logbook scans for Metroid Prime 1 and 2 but here you go now you know which rooms have the most. Stay tuned for more exciting content!
