The career development service partners with each school to guide students through career discovery, career choice, and career readiness, supported by RCSI's alumni mentor network and a dedicated career IT platform. For students preparing for licensing exams, a career readiness coordinator supports registration and exam preparation alongside the core RCSI degree programme. The academic development service helps students build effective learning strategies as they transition to independent study, while the student welfare service, a social work led professional service, provides confidential emotional and practical support, including access to counselling and GP services. Working alongside the RCSI Centre for Positive Psychology and Health, described as the first of its kind in the world, CoMPPAS also runs RCSI's orientation programme and international citizenship award to support students' academic, professional, and personal growth from day one. 0:00 - Welcome to the CoMPPAS Centre 0:44 - An integrated network of student support 1:00 - The career development service 1:09 - Career discovery, career choice, and career ready 1:40 - The alumni mentor network 1:49 - Career support from foundation year to post-graduation 2:37 - Support for licensing exams and registration 3:11 - The academic development service 3:36 - Support for students with disabilities 4:00 - The student welfare service 4:32 - Health and wellbeing week and mental health training 5:03 - The RCSI Centre for Positive Psychology and Health 5:38 - Orientation programme and international citizenship award #RCSI #CoMPPAS #RCSIStudentLife #StudentSupport #CareerDevelopment
