🔱 Tungnath Mahadev Yatra Vlog | चौथी बार तृतीय केदार यात्रा | Chopta Trek, Uttarakhand 🙏 हर हर महादेव! जय श्री तुंगनाथ महादेव! 🙏 Some journeys are not just about reaching a destination; they are about faith, devotion, nature, and the blessings of Mahadev. ❤️🔱 Welcome to my fourth yatra to Shri Tungnath Mahadev Temple, one of the most sacred Shiva temples in Uttarakhand and renowned as the highest Shiva temple in the world, situated at an altitude of approximately 12,000 feet above sea level. This time, I was fortunate to undertake this beautiful spiritual journey with two of my favourite people, Himanshu and his wife Muskan. For Muskan, it was her very first trek in Uttarakhand, making this yatra even more special! 🏔️ Our Journey from Ukhimath to Tungnath Mahadev We began our journey with a scooty ride from Ukhimath to Chopta, the starting point of our trek. We reached Chopta and began the approximately 4 km uphill trek at 11:00 AM. October is considered a favourable time for this trek because the monsoon season can make mountain trails slippery and risky. 🥤 Buransh Juice, Malta Juice & Trekking Tips After trekking for around 20–25 minutes, we took a short break to enjoy refreshing Buransh juice and Malta juice. Buransh juice is one of my personal favourites, and I never miss an opportunity to enjoy it whenever I find it in the mountains! We then resumed our climb, following two simple trekking principles: breathe slowly through your nose and take small, steady steps. Avoiding unnecessarily long breaks also helped us maintain our rhythm during the ascent. 🌿 Chopta — The Mini Switzerland of India As we continued, we reached the beautiful green meadows of Chopta, popularly known as the Mini Switzerland of India. Initially, clouds covered much of the spectacular mountain scenery, but fortunately, they began to clear, revealing breathtaking views. We captured photographs and videos before continuing towards Panwar Restaurant, beyond which the trail becomes steeper. ⛰️ The Final Climb to Tungnath Temple The uphill trail tested our stamina, but we continued at a comfortable pace, taking short breaks whenever needed. Eventually, we reached the area near the Tungnath Alpine Research Centre, where the climb becomes relatively less steep. It was around 1:15 PM, so we had enough time to visit a small stone temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha before proceeding towards Tungnath Mahadev Temple. 🔱 Divine Darshan of Shri Tungnath Mahadev The main temple remains closed for an hour between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. After waiting for the doors to reopen, we joined the queue for darshan. At 2:00 PM, the temple doors opened, and within the next 10–15 minutes, we were blessed with the divine darshan of Shri Tungnath Mahadev Ji. 🙏 After the main darshan, we visited the five temples associated with the Pandavas, the Bhairav Temple, and a small temple behind the main shrine containing a Shivling and Nandi Maharaj. We then continued towards Van Devi Temple and explored another nearby temple. Every step of this sacred journey filled our hearts with devotion, gratitude, and peace. ❤️ A Yatra to Remember Completing my fourth Tungnath Mahadev Yatra with two people close to my heart was truly a blessing. The scenic Himalayan trails, the changing clouds, the lush green meadows of Chopta, and the divine atmosphere of the temple made this journey unforgettable.
