Our Vision
We will be a home of spirituality and community engagement for ALL souls
Our Mission
We will strive to attain our vision by pursuing the Five Marks of Mission propagated by Avery Dulles as, representing the Mission of Christ.
• To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
• To teaching, baptizing and nurture New Believers
• To respond to human need by loving service
• To seek to transform unjust structures of society
• To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
Core Values
We believe that, to achieve the Church’s mission and pursue its vision there must be full commitment to the following core values and principles.
• Spirituality – confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and seeking to be brought into love and harmony with God; displaying a disposition of peace, patience, kindness, forgiveness, and consideration for others.
• Stewardship – giving of one’s time, talent, and treasure in the service of God and humanity
• Integrity- conducting self and interacting with others in a manner which reflects honesty, truth, and fairness, speaking and acting in accordance with what is factual and proven; honouring the absent.
• Accountability - taking ownership for our actions and decisions; accepting responsibility to report and justify outcomes to others.
• Results-oriented – striving to accomplish the highest standards of performance in whatever is undertaken; contributing to ensure the success of the programme, committee, group and ultimately the church.
• Love – acknowledging the dignity and value of others; seeking the best interest and wellbeing of other people; showing goodwill, compassion, and sensitivity to the needs of others.
• Service to humanity – giving support, sustenance, and hope to the less fortunate, differently able, shut –ins, elderly, young children in such ways as to make them feel appreciated, comfortable and meaningful, rendering service to the nation and its people with a spirit of peace, harmony, generosity and kindness
Lectionary A
Collect – Proper 18 Page 178
Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
