A test on a two stroke oil engine gives the following result at full load speed =350rpm , net brake load = 650N , Imep = 3 bar , fuel consumption = 4 kg/hr, cooling water flow rate = 500 kg/hr, water temp at inlet 20C and outlet is 40C , room temp = 20C exhaust gas temp = 400C. air used per kg of fuel = 32 kg, cylinder dia 22cm, stroke =28cm , brake drum circumference 314cm, calorific value of the fuel = 43MJ/kg, specific heat of exhaust gas 1 kJ/kgk. Determine the i) mechanical efficiency ii) draw the energy balance sheet in kW and in percentage.
