The Angles Way Long Distance Trail. Part 6 - Knettishall to Thetford. The final stretch.

In this video I am finishing the the final leg of the last section of the Angles Way on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, a long distance trail stretching for 96 miles from Great Yarmouth to Thetford and following the rivers Waveney and Little Ouse. Leaving my riverside camp spot, I walk through beautiful Knettishall heath and to the intersection of three major long distance footpaths - the Angles Way, the Icknield Way and the Peddars Way, the footpath that started this massive loop of Norfolk that I have been walking over the past few years. After Knettishall, the trail follows the Icknield way, taking a big loop across sandy heathland, through Breckland pine margins, past huge open fields and vast country estates before hooking back into the ancient town of Thetford, which has been inhabited by our ancestors since the neolithic period. Thetford is where my journey ends for now - the official end of the Angles way. But an ending is just the start of a new beginning, and so, all that is needed now is to make a decision - which trail to explore next… I hope you enjoy the video, Thanks for watching.
