Des Moines Public Schools suing firm for vetting of Superintendent Ian Roberts: Press conference

The Des Moines School Board plans to move forward with a lawsuit against JG Consulting, the superintendent search firm that helped the district find and vet potential candidates and chose its now former Superintendent Ian Roberts. Roberts, who is from Guyana, was arrested by immigration officials on Sept. 26. Since then, Roberts' background has come under scrutiny and Des Moines Public Schools has had to answer for its hiring processes.
