In Macam Studios they are created to inspire film-makers, actors and fans to dreaming without limits, through ‘what if’ trailers. ►How are ‘what if’ trailers made? I start by becoming a fan of the film, then research franchise news, fan theories and updates about the dream film. Then find new clips of the actors and any elements that makes the the franchise known for. We make it clear at the beginning of each trailers that its ‘fan made' to avoid confusion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Editing Journey: Editing this Jurassic World 5 fan trailer was an absolute blast because of how much I love the franchise. To really capture the right feeling, I went on a little creative journey—visiting my local museum to study dinosaur displays and spark some inspiration, while also watching the film 65 to get my mind into that intense prehistoric survival vibe. That energy carried over into the edit, and I felt pumped the whole way through. Having a good amount of new cast footage was a huge help, and I even worked with actors to film fresh news segments that blended naturally into the story. On top of that, I used AI tools to design realistic dinosaur sequences in New York City, which really brought the whole idea to life on screen. I start the trailer creating a scene of Zora talking to her friend about finding someone to ask for their help. Then we learn its Owen Grady, they find him in Nevada where we last saw him in Jurassic World: Dominion, and he has been living under a rock since he didn’t hear about the dinosaur invasion. The story I built centers on a terrifying scenario: dinosaurs invading New York City. Owen Grady and Zora Bennett step up as the only ones with the skills and experience to stop the disaster before it spreads even further. What excites me most about this idea is that it’s something we haven’t truly seen on the big screen—dinosaurs clashing with the modern world in one of the most iconic cities on Earth. For me, this felt like the perfect opportunity to create a “finale-style” trailer that unites the cast for one last epic fight for survival.
