Like the Canaanite woman in the Gospel, we are called to trust in God's mercy even when faced with challenges and delays. 📖 Readings of the Day First Reading: Isaiah 56:1, 6–7 Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 67:2–3, 5, 6, 8 Response: O God, let all the nations praise You! Second Reading: Romans 11:13–15, 29–32 Holy Gospel: Matthew 15:21–28 💭 Reflection In today's Gospel, a Canaanite woman approaches Jesus, pleading for her daughter's healing. Despite the apparent obstacles, she remains steadfast in faith and trust. Her persistence moves the heart of Jesus, who declares: "Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." (Matthew 15:28) This Gospel teaches us never to lose hope in prayer. God's timing is always perfect, and His mercy extends to all people. We are invited to approach Him with confidence, humility, and unwavering faith. May we learn from the example of the Canaanite woman and trust that God hears every prayer offered with a sincere heart. 🙏 Prayer Heavenly Father, strengthen our faith and teach us to persevere in prayer. Open our hearts to Your mercy and help us to welcome all people into Your loving embrace. May we always trust in Your goodness and proclaim Your saving love to the world. Through Christ our Lord.
