Occitan language is also known as old provencal. The song tells the story of a wolf, a fox, and a rabbit, each of them is a metaphor for the three estates of medieval society. Wolf as knighthood, the fox the clergy, and the rabbit the peasantry. The song illustrates the influence of each estate on the other and also the situation where each estate tries to exploit the lower (or just other, as further lyrics says) estate. Pieśń opowiada historię wilka, lisa i królika, z których każdy jest metaforą trzech stanów średniowiecznego społeczeństwa: wilka jako rycerstwa, lisa jako duchowieństwa, a królika jako chłopstwa.
