#dineshkanji #indianeconomy #narendramodi #RaghuramRajan अर्थकारण क्षेत्रात भरारी घेण्यासाठी ज्या ज्या पूर्वअटी आहेत, त्याची पूर्तता करण्याचे काम पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी गेल्या १२ वर्षांच्या काळात केले. त्याची गोमटी फळे जगाला दिसत असली तरी काही तथाकथित तज्ज्ञ भारताच्या अर्थकारणाच्या नावाने कायम करपट ढेकर काढत असतात. अलीकडेच चालू आर्थिक वर्षाच्या पहिल्या तिमाहीचे आकडे आल्यानंतर रिझर्व्ह बँकेचे माजी गव्हर्नर रघुराम राजन, माजी वित्त सचिव यांनी बोंब ठोकली. त्यांचे कपडे उतरवणारा अहवाल जेफरीज या नामांकित वित्तसंस्थेने जारी केलेला आहे. रिझर्व्ह बँकेचे माजी गव्हर्नर आणि प्रसिद्ध अर्थतज्ज्ञ रघुराम राजन यांनी भारताच्या आर्थिक वाढीवर आणि धोरणांवर वेळोवेळी प्रश्न उपस्थित केले आहेत. भारताच्या अर्थकारणाबाबत त्यांच्या नकारात्मक विधानांची जंत्री देता येईल. भारताने जेमतेम ५ टक्के विकासदर जरी गाठला तरी नशीब समजा, हे त्यांचे डिसेंबर २०२२ चे विधान आहे. २०२३-२४ मध्ये भारताने ८.२ टक्क्यांचा विकासदर नोंदवला. चालू आर्थिक वर्षाच्या पहिल्या तिमाहीत भारताने ७.८ टक्क्यांचा दमदार विकासदर नोंदवला. तेव्हाही त्यांनी तोंड वाकडे केले. सेमीकंडक्टर उद्योगांची उभारणी करण्याच्या पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या प्रयत्नांबाबतही त्यांनी ‘प्रकल्प कशाला भारतीय, सेमीकंडक्टर चिपची तस्करी करा’, असे मेंदू गहाण ठेवल्यासारखे विधान केले आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर जेफरीजच्या ताज्या अहवालाकडे पाहावे लागेल. जागतिक दर्जाच्या 'जेफरीज्' या वित्तसंस्थेचा अहवाल भारताच्या औद्योगिक भवितव्याबद्दल अत्यंत आशावादी चित्र उभे करतो. जेफरीज्‌नुसार, भारत सध्या एका "नवीन औद्योगिक क्रांतीच्या" उंबरठ्यावर उभा आहे. सरकारी प्रोत्साहनांमुळे (पीएलआय स्कीम) आणि धोरणात्मक पाठिंब्यामुळे खाजगी क्षेत्र आता केवळ साध्या उत्पादनापुरते मर्यादित न राहता सेमीकंडक्टर, अंतराळ तंत्रज्ञान, डेटा सेंटर आणि एरोस्पेस अशा उच्च-तंत्रज्ञान क्षेत्रांत वेगाने पुढे जात आहे, असा दावा केला आहे. In December 2022, he had said that India should consider itself lucky even if it managed to achieve a growth rate of barely 5 percent. However, India recorded a growth rate of 8.2 percent in 2023–24. In the first quarter of the current financial year, India once again registered a robust growth rate of 7.8 percent. Even then, he remained critical. Rajan has also made controversial remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to build a semiconductor industry in India, saying, “Why manufacture semiconductor chips in India? Smuggle them instead,” as though he had completely surrendered his judgment. Against this backdrop, Jefferies’ latest report deserves attention. The report by the globally renowned financial institution Jefferies paints a highly optimistic picture of India’s industrial future. According to Jefferies, India is currently standing on the threshold of a “new industrial revolution.” Driven by government incentives, particularly the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, and strategic policy support, the private sector is no longer limiting itself to conventional manufacturing.
