ROSES243 Szymanski, Reade, Peeters, Singleton: The Economics of Burnley v Everton

The two hundred and forty third Reading Online Sport Economics and Statistics (ROSES) Seminar, sponsored by the Sports Economics Review published by Elsevier was given by Stefan Szymanski (University of Michigan) and James Reade (University of Reading), presenting “Judging Financial Fair Play Fairly: The Economics of Burnley vs Everton”, joint work with Carl Singleton and Thomas Peeters. This was an online seminar, and was the two hundred and forty third sport economics seminar hosted by the University of Reading and supported by the Sports Section of the Royal Statistical Society, initiated in the time of Coronavirus, as a means for researchers in the field to present their work, and interact with like-minded scholars on a regular basis during lockdowns and social distancing and isolation around the world. We continue to meet now as the platform provides a regular opportunity for researchers in the area of economics and sport to present in a less rushed setting.
