The Botanical Garden of Vilnius University in Kairėnai is the largest botanical garden in Lithuania. This expansive green oasis integrates rich historical heritage with a collection of over 11,000 plant varieties. There is also a garden here based on the principles of the Japanese walk. Originally founded in 1781 in Vilnius Old Town, the garden moved to its main operations to the historic Kairėnai Manor estate in 1974. In summer, this Botanical Garden often hosts open-air concerts. In winter, enjoy the seasonal evening attraction featuring an immersive light and sound installation along a 1,5 to 2 km nature trail.
