AI in the Legal World: How Technology Is Changing the Practice of Law Ft. Gary Leibowitz

This week, Michael and I are especially grateful to have Gary Leibowitz join us. Before even getting into his impressive professional background, Gary is a respected leader in the Pikesville Jewish community. He coaches girls’ fast-pitch softball and is involved in numerous initiatives that support and strengthen the community. Gary is also a friend and someone who consistently goes out of his way to help others—which makes everything he has accomplished professionally even more impressive. Gary H. Leibowitz is the head of the Baltimore office at Cole Schotz, where he is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring and Litigation departments and serves as chair of its Sports Law Group. He maintains a national practice focused on corporate bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, business restructuring, and complex commercial litigation. Throughout his career, Gary has helped restructure hundreds of millions of dollars in debt while representing businesses, creditors, lenders, investors, trustees, and professional sports organizations. His sports-law practice includes representing MLB and NFL teams and stadiums in contractual disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, and other complex business matters. He is also a licensed sports agent. Gary is a former president of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the District of Maryland and has received numerous professional honors, including recognition from Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, and the Global M&A Network. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
