Presenting a Kathak interpretation of Ardhanarishwar - the divine form where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati exist as one, symbolising the perfect balance of masculine and feminine energies. Through graceful movements, expressions, rhythmic footwork and the storytelling language of Kathak, our young dancers bring alive the essence of Shiva and Shakti - strength and grace, stillness and movement, Tandava and Lasya. Performed by the young Kathakaars of Laasya Performing Arts, this presentation is our humble attempt to introduce the next generation to the depth, beauty and spiritual richness of Indian classical dance.
