Psalm 125 - Surrounded

Psalm 125 is a psalm of settled, unshakeable security built around one of the most powerful images in all of Scripture. Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved and endures forever. And just as the mountains surround Jerusalem on every side, so the Lord Himself surrounds His people. Not just in front. Not just behind. All around. From this time forth and forevermore. This is not a psalm written for people whose lives are going perfectly. It is a psalm written for people who need to be reminded of something they cannot always see. The scepter of the wicked may feel like it is pressing down on the righteous. The crooked paths may look tempting. The enemies may seem too many and too close. But the One who surrounds His people is bigger than anything that is trying to get in. Mount Zion does not move. And neither does the God who encircles those who trust in Him. This is a song for anyone who feels exposed, vulnerable, or outnumbered. Look around you with the eyes of faith. You are not unprotected. You are surrounded by the Lord your God, and He has been surrounding you from this time forth and forevermore. 🎵 Song: Surrounded 📖 Scripture: Psalm 125 🎼 Style: Steady Unshakeable Worship Anthem "As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore."
