Visiting PortAventura in peak summer usually means bracing for massive queues and roasting heat. But on our five day family holiday this year, we were genuinely shocked by how quiet it was. We spent five days checking out everything across PortAventura and Ferrari Land, and we couldn't get over the queue times. We were waiting barely 20 minutes for top coasters like Shambhala and Dragon Khan, even if Uncharted still had its usual hefty queues! Was it Spain being in the World Cup final keeping the crowds away? Great ride operations? Or just everyone hiding by the pool from the midday sun?
