Chakma-Hajong bodies protest in Delhi demanding residential certificates from Arunachal Govt

Representatives of Chakma and Hajong organisations from Arunachal Pradesh held a demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Wednesday against the cancellation of Residential Proof Certificates. Submitting a memorandum to Home Minister Amit Shah, the bodies said the Assam Rifles recently informed that the “temporary residential certificate” now being issued to them cannot be accepted as proof of domicile or permanent resident certificate” for joining.
