In this 4K 60fps HDR video, I recorded Tegernsee Village at Lake Tegernsee on a sunny summer day. The tour leads along the scenic lakeside promenade framed by a stunning Bavarian Alps backdrop, including Mt. Wallberg and Mt. Hirschberg. The route passes Tegernseer Steg and Schlosspromenade, ending at Schlossplatz with historic Schloss Tegernsee and its famous monastery brewery Herzogliches Bräustüberl. This video is not sponsored and does not contain purchased or third-party video footage. 🏛️ URBAN & ARCHITECTURAL HISTORY The town of Tegernsee was founded around 746 by the noble brothers Adalbert and Otkar with the establishment of a Benedictine monastery. The settlement developed around this spiritual center over the centuries and officially received its town status in 1954. Today, the valley is renowned as one of Germany's most exclusive alpine retreats, famous for its historic lakeside villas, high quality of life, and luxury hospitality. 🍺 BREWERY & BEER HISTORY The famous brewery was established in 1675 by Abbot Bernhard Wenzl, who brought official brewing rights to the lake. Today, the brewery is known worldwide as Herzoglich Bayerisches Brauhaus Tegernsee for its traditional Bavarian lager and the iconic Bräustüberl beer hall. 💧 LAKE & GEOGRAPHY Covering around 9 square kilometers with a depth of up to 72 meters, this pre-Alpine lake was formed about 20,000 years ago by the ice age Isar-Loisach glacier and is located roughly 50 kilometers south of Munich.
