Indiana - Michigan Recap: Hoosiers Win 13-6 in OT as Defense Dominates

Indiana football survived a brutal afternoon in Ann Arbor, beating Michigan 13-6 in overtime for its first win at Michigan Stadium in decades. Galen Clavio and Scott Caulfield break down a game that became a showcase for the Hoosiers’ defense — and a test of Indiana’s ability to win when almost nothing works offensively. Bryant Haines’ defense was extraordinary. Michigan managed just six points despite repeatedly getting favorable field position, while Tobias Nsonwu, Rolijah Hardy and A.J. Harris helped Indiana pressure freshman quarterback Tommy Carr and dominate in high-leverage situations. Offensively, Josh Hoover struggled badly through the air and threw his first interception of the season, but Indiana adjusted, leaned on Turbo Richard and Lee Beebe Jr., and ultimately trusted Hoover when it mattered most. His overtime completion and touchdown run provided the only touchdown of the game. Galen and Scott also examine Indiana’s improved rushing performance, special-teams issues, Charlie Becker, the possibility Hoover was playing through an injury, and what the win means for IU’s Big Ten and College Football Playoff path.
