G-Shock GBD-200-7 Upgrade | Bezel Swap + Metal Adapters + Velcro Straps

In this video, I upgrade the Casio G-Shock GBD-200-7 with a new bezel setup, metal strap adapters, and Velcro straps. This is not a simple strap swap, because the GBD-200 case design hides part of the bezel hardware behind the buttons. To complete the modification properly, the watch has to be taken apart further than most people would expect. The first step is removing the original factory straps from the GBD-200-7. Once the straps are out of the way, the back cover has to be removed so the module can come out safely. After removing the module, the buttons need to be removed as well. This is an important part of the process because there are hidden screws behind the buttons that hold the bezel in place. If you try to remove the bezel without taking those screws out first, you risk damaging the case, bezel, button area, or the watch itself. After the hidden screws are removed, the bezel can finally come off. The best way to remove it is by carefully pulling away and upward from either the right or left side of the bezel. This allows the bezel to release without forcing it straight off or stressing the plastic more than necessary. Patience is important here because the bezel is tight, and the GBD-200 is not designed like a traditional square G-Shock, where the bezel simply lifts off after removing the screws. Once the bezel is removed, I install the new setup and prepare the watch for metal strap adapters and Velcro straps. The metal adapters allow the GBD-200-7 to work with strap options that are not possible with the original factory strap design. The Velcro straps give the watch a more tactical, lightweight, and adjustable feel while completely changing the look of the Stormtrooper-style GBD-200-7. This video is useful if you are planning to modify your GBD-200, replace the bezel, install strap adapters, or understand why this model requires extra disassembly compared to other G-Shock watches. I go through the process so you can see what is involved before attempting it yourself. Proceed carefully if you try this modification. Small screws, springs, buttons, seals, and the module can be easily damaged. Make sure you work on a clean surface, use the correct tools, and keep track of every part during disassembly.
