Catholic Church's Priestly Ordination - 4 Members of the Society of Jesus - SAP-Province.

On 30 August 2026, Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Braamfontein hosted four deacons, together with their families and friends, on the eve of their ordination to the priesthood, which took place the following afternoon, 31 August 2026, the Feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Johannesburg. The gathering began with evening prayers, followed by a brief moment of fellowship and fraternity as the community came together in prayer and celebration, giving thanks for the lives and vocations of these brothers as they prepared to take this important step in their journey of service to God and His people. In this video, Fr. Lucas Estevao, SJ, delivers a short reflection on the meaning of priesthood, encouraging the ordinands to become true shepherds who care for their flock with love, humility, compassion, and dedication. The vigil was a beautiful moment of prayer, fellowship, and anticipation as the four deacons prepared to embrace their new ministry in the Church. #priestlyordination #CatholicChurch #CatholicPriesthood #Ordination2026 #CatholicFaith #jesuits #societyofjesus #SaintIgnatiusOfLoyola #VocationToPriesthood #CatholicVocations #HolyTrinityCatholicChurch #Braamfontein #CatholicChurchSouthAfrica #FaithInAction #ShepherdOfSouls #CalledToServe #CatholicLife #ChristianFaith #GodsCalling #AfricanCatholicChurch
