Last weekend, I taught one of my most popular Sewing workshops, Sewing with Jersey. As everyone stitched away I kept thinking I really want to make up the two lovely jersey fabrics I have now. I took the next day off as my sewing day and made the two tops I show you in this video. I love to pattern mix and match to create the exact styles I’m after. It’s also great to have a wealth of design options by doing this. One of my favourite patterns, which I’ve used lots is The Gable Top, I love its boatneck 1950’s styling. Another favourite pattern in The Somerset Top by Maven Patterns, especially the Bishop Sleeve option. Add to that The Agnes Top Sleeve which I’ve long looked at and finally used a few months ago. Two tops with a Gable Body and different sleeves, that both use elastic to create the shaping. One with Shirring and one with straight elastic.
