Every Society Gets the Police it Deserves | Ex-DGP Avinash Mohananey & Sanjay Rajoura

In this powerful conversation, Sanjay Rajoura sits down with Avinash Mohananey, former Director General of Police (DGP) and a distinguished ex-IPS officer with over four decades of experience in Indian policing. Together, they unpack the uncomfortable truths about law enforcement in India: from caste and class bias to political interference, systemic brutality, and the erosion of public trust. 🔍 Mohananey argues that the police aren’t just a force — they’re a mirror to our society, reflecting the very inequalities, fears, and prejudices we refuse to confront. 📘 He also discusses his book “Police, Society, and Future”, offering an insider’s critique of the system and a bold call for reform. This is not just a talk on policing — it's a deep look into how power operates in India.
