Knuckles can take Sonic and Tails' path in Icecap Zone Act 2?

Knuckles is supposed to take his own lower path from the end of Ice Cap Zone Act 1. Various ice walls and objects are put in place to force Knuckles down his own path, and it initially looks impossible. However, with a bit of clever glide bouncing from a helpful penguinator badnik, and some brute forcing up a few slopes, Knuckles can enter and complete both Icecap Zone Act 1 and 2 whilst taking Sonic and Tails' path. There's not really much of a reason to do this. The miniboss is slightly higher and so, it's even harder to hit and defeat him than normal. And if you stay high enough, the background will not switch to the brighter daytime palette. Everything else plays out as expected. But it is pretty cool to do.
