Testing the Dambusters Heritage Ride Route

I was invited by route designer, Mike Ainsworth, to join him on his pre ride recce of one of the three Dambusters heritage Ride routes. This included a visit to the Lincolnshire Aviation heritage Centre at East Kirkby, which is a 'refuelling' stop. On the way I learned more about the Dambusters and the bravery of all Bomber Command crews. Our ride starts and finishes at the glorious Petwood hotel, where we view the historic Squadron bar and sample their excellent cream tea.
