Follow a full day of ancient human life, from dawn to the middle of the night, and see how farming took that free time away.
📚 RESEARCH & SOURCES:
▸ Richard Lee's work-hours study — "What Hunters Do for a Living, or, How to Make Out on Scarce Resources" (1968, in Man the Hunter, Aldine Publishing). Lee's fieldwork with the Ju/'hoansi beginning in 1963 recorded roughly 17 hours a week spent acquiring food.
